Cris Carter
Those who know Cris describe her as passionate, intuitive and sharp. As an attorney, financial advisor, and one whose passion is empowering and giving to others, Cris turns complicated legal and financial issues into positive solutions for her clients.
Cris Carter graduated from the University of Florida in 1981 and spent the next 20 years raising her family and running a highly successful law practice. Cris never thought she would leave Florida however, when her daughter moved to Colorado Springs in 2003, she found herself heading west. The move to Colorado Springs began a new chapter with new opportunities for Cris.
Since her arrival, Cris has immersed herself in the welcoming community of Colorado Springs. She has served in many different capacities including:
- President of the American Business Womenâ€s Association-Colorado Springs Womenâ€s Express Network
- Ambassador for the Alzheimerâ€s Association
- Legal consultant to the Senior Resource Council
- Facilitator of the monthly Women in Business Breakfast (WIBB)
- Member of the Cheyenne Mountain Newcomers Club
- Active participant of her local churchÂ
- Member of the El Paso County Bar Association
Cris enjoys reading, researching, hiking and biking. And, from time to time you might find her preparing a gourmet meal. Cris loves family time with her husband, Payton and her daughter and son-in-law, Carly and Grant Barron. With her first grandbaby due in February 2010, Cris knows that life doesnâ€t get much better than this and credits her relationship with God for all she has to be grateful for.
